Important Info

Trip Dates and Timing:

We depart New York Sunday, January 8 on the early afternoon direct flight to Nairobi, Kenya. ​We land late Monday morning, and transfer to our private chartered flight directly to the Maasai Mara where we'll stay for three nights.

On Thursday afternoon (January 12) we take a return chartered plane to Nairobi. We visit the Kibera slum (the largest in Africa), have dinner, and head back to the airport for a flight home (Africa Express, arrive early Friday morning), or onwards to Zanzibar (full trip).

We'll be in Zanzibar for three nights, departing for New York Sunday evening the 15th and arriving Monday morning the 16th.

The Food:

Our meals will be catered by the famous Weiss Brothers Caterers and prepared fresh by our on-site chef under the supervision of a Mashgiach Temidi. All food will adhere to the highest standards of Kashrus - Cholov Yisroel, Pas Yisroel, Glatt, and Chassidishe Shechita.

Prepare to be wowed by lavish breakfast buffets, delicious packed lunches, and elegant sit-down dinners complete with fine wines - including a number of bush meals.

  • Vaccination or inoculation costs (none required, some suggested), anti-malarials (pills required)

  • Optional activities (hot air balloons on safari, watersports in Zanzibar, etc.)

Legal Stuff:

Kosher Horizons and Plan It Rite strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance. Such insurance may provide coverage for losses suffered in the event of trip cancellation and interruption, travel delay, loss of baggage and travel documents, baggage delay, medical emergencies and the like.

Kosher Horizons or Plan It Rite shall take no responsibility or liability for any other expenses incurred, including but not limited to non-refundable airline tickets, personal, or property damage before, during, or after the duration of this trip. A signed limit of liability form and medical release form may be required to attend this trip.

The trip pricing is based on the current airline and park fees and exchange rate. Should any of these change before the trip takes place, Kosher Horizons and Plan It Rite reserve the right to adjust the trip pricing accordingly.
